How to Navigate Through Spiritual Blockages and Chaos

A Change in the Airwaves and Skies

Lately, in the realm of the spirit, I’ve discerned an uptick in chaos surging through the airwaves. For a week, connecting in a place of prayer felt as if I was trying to connect a Bluetooth device that was out of range. I thought to myself, “I know God is never far away, so this must be an atmospheric thing.” I prayed into this feeling and turned away from social media and other media inputs.

“For God is not a God of disorder but of peace, as in all the meetings of God’s holy people.” 1st Corinthians 14:33 (NLT)

The Lord revealed to me in a vision that there was an iron ceiling covering my neighborhood. Usually, when I see an iron sky in the spirit, it means that demonic forces are trying to block out the blessings and the releases of heaven. Suddenly, prayers seem like they aren’t hitting like they’re supposed to, and connecting to God can seem more challenging than usual.

“The skies above will be as unyielding as bronze, and the earth beneath will be as hard as iron.” Deuteronomy 28:23 (NLT)

If you have been feeling as if your prayers are not landing or it has been difficult to focus, I want you to know that you are not alone. When the Holy Spirit opened my ears to the clashing broadcasts of the enemy, I was reminded that this is something that I’ve heard before, especially during times of political upheaval or during a stream of distressing worldly events. These broadcasts sounded like radio channels fusing into one another with no order or sequence.

Some of you reading this may even feel like it is your fault that it has been a challenge to hear from the Lord or to have mental clarity. Rest assured that the Lord is ushering us away from the segmentation that chaos seeks to create and bringing us closer to His revelation and leadings. This closeness will allow us to tune out of the chaos and into His frequency.

Maintaining a Sound Mind

Anytime the enemy overplays his hand, especially by seeking to release confusion, we have to speak the opposite of this demonic report. In my time of prayer, the Holy Spirit showed me that a major strategy against chaos is making targeted declarations and prayers against what we are sensing with the word of God. This will counteract the demonic reports that are seeking to obtain our agreement.

“Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.” 2 Corinthians 10:5 (KJV)

In my time of warfare, I spoke against the iron ceiling and declared the opposite: the floodgates of heaven are open and will not be clogged, and the Lord will guarantee a blessing for our sakes and rebuke the devourer (Deut 28:8, Mal 3:11). Soon, I began to hear His voice clearer and felt relieved in my thoughts to focus, concentrate, and listen. Remaining Steadfast

One thing the Lord has been impressing on my heart is to remain steadfast in staying close to Him in this upcoming season. The other day, I heard the Lord say, “You must remain plugged into me.” He is whispering to our spirits to rely on Him more than ever before. If you have felt pulled to prayer and the need to withdraw, this is a sign that He has been speaking to you about the same thing.

As I let the Lord’s words echo within my spirit, I thought of Daniel. Daniel knew how to plug into the Lord no matter what was going on in the cultural landscape of his time. Even at the epitome of the Jewish captivity and immersion into a pagan culture, Daniel and his friends upheld their own values, statutes, and commitments to the Lord. In your time of prayer, seek Him on how this can look for you on a day-to-day basis as the months go on. I’m confident that He will give you a plan that aligns with how you are prophetically wired in Him.

Some strategies that I have are to be reliant on the Holy Spirit wherever I go. Daily, I ask Him to guide me during conversations and navigate my everyday life. At times, I also pray for an increase in discernment to ensure that I am not passively agreeing or being open to the enemy’s plans. Most of all, I ask the Lord what He wants me to pray concerning our nation.

We alone are the guardians of our eyes and ears, but with His help, we can become like flint in the face of turmoil.

My Prayer for You

I pray right now that your anointing to discern the times and seasons will pour over them. Cover them in your love and bestow upon them understanding for their daily lives. I ask that you give our revelation and personal blueprints for how to cling to you in this season and stay away from chaos in all of its forms. In Jesus’ name!

Prayers and Decrees Against an Iron Sky and Demonic Broadcasts

I always keep a record of my prayers and decrees in my prophetic journal during times of intercession like this. It is always good to see patterns and commonalities.

In the name of Jesus, I command every ceiling of iron over my head to be broken by the power of your Spirit. I prophesy that I am blessed in the city, and I am blessed in the country, and your blessings will not be withheld from me. (Deut 28:3)

I speak to the land and declare that it is no longer barren and the rain of your Spirit has come. 1 Kings 18:41

I say that your ancient gates and ancient doors are open over me. King of Glory, come in and release your Spirit. (Psalm 24:9)

I come against every weapon launched against my mind that is seeking to disrupt and scramble my thoughts. I shut down every demonic axe seeking to impress upon me double-mindedness and fragmented thoughts in Jesus’ name. (James 1:8)
