Arise & Shine

Recently, I had an interesting phenomenon happen right as I was drifting off to sleep. Suddenly, the sound of an alarm jolted me awake. I instinctively reached for my phone to turn off the alarm, yet no alarm was going off.

It was then that I heard the Lord say “There is a wake-up call for my children. For those who have ears to hear.”

”Blow the trumpet in Zion; sound the alarm on my holy hill. Let all who live in the land tremble, for the day of the Lord is coming. It is close at hand—“ (Joel 2:1)

Supernatural Volume

The next morning while on the subway train on my way to work, I discovered His words resonating through my spirit. In an instant, the Holy Spirit reminded me of what The Lord said the night before, and so I asked Him what He meant by the “wake-up call”.

Around me the train car was becoming fuller. Even with headphones on, the noise from my fellow passengers multiplied in volume. However, as soon as the Lord began to speak, the sounds around me lowered as the Lord elevated His voice for my focus. This was something that I had experienced before, but never to this magnitude.

I heard the Lord say. “It’s time for the Bride to wake up out of a stupor. To heed to the call in the spirit. To rise against these powers that seek to take their minds, and turn them against Me. Is it not like it was in the days of old? With My people given over and seduced by idols? Is it not like the time My hand came down and wiped out hostile nations? These deaf and mute idols have nothing, can do nothing. All were created by Me. My people have to rise to their authority, and take back what is rightfully theirs.”

His voice grew in excitement, but also in severity. It was fascinating and intimidating all in the same breadth.

Waking Up from a Stupor

As I began unpacking this message, I realized that this alarm is sounding for believers that have been discouraged by the past harsh seasons as well as those who fell asleep after being worn down by the harassment of the enemy and his agendas over the past couple of years.

Ever since the dark season of the pandemic, the landscape of Christianity has been under an acute attack. Pastors were pressured into closing down churches, causing a massive disbanding of local gatherings. Many began to feel pushed by the economy and concerns for their health.

The voices of the world became louder. Trust and reliance on God diminished. As a result, a line in the sand was drawn between those listening to the voice of God, and those listening to the voices of the world.

Powers that Seek the Mind

Over the past two years, I have been grieved over the way our culture has tilted towards blatant satan worship and antichrist principles. It almost seems like too many things have become demonic, causing the need to vigilantly safeguard my soul like never before. When The Lord mentioned ”rising against powers that seek to take the mind” I was very excited.
What are these powers?

These are the demonic beings ranked under principalities that Paul referred to in Ephesians 6:11

"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in the high places. " (Ephesians 6:11)

According to the Blue Letter Bible Strong's The word power in Greek is "exousia", which means: physical or mental power and influence and authority over mankind. These demonic beings heavily influence culture in order to exert the agenda of the enemy over mankind.

You can hear their twisted voices hiding behind people speaking within government, politics, entertainment, and media outlets. These are aspects of culture that influence everyday life. That is why He has called so many of us out from giving an ear or an eye to secular media and music. He has preserved the gates of our soul for such a time as this!

He is anointing those of us who are walking counter-culturally with the world to stand in our kingly/priestly authority to intercede for our brothers and sisters in Christ that have become entranced by the world’s system.

Like a flare in the night, our prayers will break apart darkness and guide the way out of strange waters. We can prepare our spiritual weapons and release targeted prayers aimed at breaking yokes of oppression, renewing sight for blinded eyes, and an impartation for a renewed desire for the gift of salvation.

Vision of the Horsemen

As I drew closer to my train stop The Lord continued:

“Now is a time to recover all. Now is a time for the fires of revival and the overflow of my spirit. My watchmen are patrolling the Earth, much like the days of Zechariah."

I was instructed to close my eyes. So, I shut out those standing in the aisles and crowding the doorways of the train, and felt the Holy Spirit swirling within me, supercharging my visual connectors.

Then, I was taken into a vision and saw three watchmen on the horses of olde standing above the aperture of the Earth. Each horse was a different color of brown, white, and red. These watchmen were intentional and expectant.

I wondered what they were waiting for. As I continued to see them standing on their guard the Lord said, “The Earth is being patrolled. My watchmen are waiting, looking; they are ready to protect the ones that are in submission. They are ready to protect the warriors. My people have been given wisdom, much like Joseph to weather this season. It’s in the creation. It’s in the creativity - the thing that you make will prove true. They will work when nothing else does. They will survive when the world says 'break'.”

“It is a time for RADIANCE to be revealed.”

His Kingly Mandate

As I sought the Lord on the deeper meaning of the vision, I researched the cultural times of the book of Zechariah.

In the age of antiquity a messenger on a horseman oftentimes carried a kingly mandate to announce and expedite. I believe that the Lord showed me the return of these horsemen to encourage us that He is swiftly fighting the battle for us in the heavenlies as we enter into a season of restoration and rebuilding.

Zechariah had a vision of the watchmen on horses patrolling the Earth after a major shift in the governmental structures of the land. As a people, they were going from chaos to peace under the second year of King Dairus' reign.

At this time, the Lord was impressing upon His people to rebuild the temple, even though it had been pummeled by enemy forces.

"Therefore, this is what the Lord says: I have returned to show mercy to Jerusalem. My Temple will be rebuilt, says the Lord of Heaven's Armies, and measurements will be taken for the reconstruction of Jerusalem." (Zechariah 1:16)

Just like the returning exiles, the Body of Christ has experienced a spiritual displacement and demonic attacks underneath a Babylonian regime that has sought to destroy the temple of the Lord. Yet, in a time that may appear bleak, He is encouraging us to pick up the pieces and build His temple individually and corporately.

Building His Temple in the New Covenant

Ever since the start of the new Hebrew Year 5784, I have felt a drive to create and build on the things that the Lord has put on my heart to complete. This feeling only became amplified at the end of 2023. I understood that these creative endeavors will bless others and contribute to a dawning of righteousness that will drown out the demonic broadcasts and usher in the frequencies of Heaven in our areas of influence.

"Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are. " ( 1st Corinthians 3:16-17)

We are the temple of the Lord individually, and corporately, as the Body of Christ, we are the temple of God presented to the world.

The way the Lord wants us to rebuild the temple is to individually consecrate ourselves and to prioritize the place of prayer. In this space of intimacy and tarrying with Him he will anoint us with supernatural vigor to endure, and with wisdom, understanding, and strategic blueprints. These blueprints will allow us to be sharp in our battle to recover everything the enemy stole from us in the previous harsh season, as well as to give us direction for how we can help, on a personal level, to further His Kingdom within the Earth.

All across the Body of Christ the Lord is releasing creative ideas and endeavors to His Body for His Kingdom purposes. These ideas are like beacons of the light from one space to the next that will add to the grand reveal of the true Body of Christ.

He is anointing the works of our hands, and giving us divine strategies that will survive during times of uncertainty. Just like Joseph, He is allowing us to be ahead of the times and is breathing upon us ideas that will not only benefit us, but others who are in need around us during some of the greatest times of uncertainty.

The Lord is breathing life into us so that we can ride on the sails of our faith and put into action the ideas He has given us in our private times of prayer.

When the uncertain times arrive, what we build in our lives will not only help the Body of Christ, but others who are in need in the world. My hope is that we remain unshakable and rooted in Christ, through every storm, trial, and challenge.
